The addition of cobalt significantly improves heat resistance, hardness retention, and wear life, making these tool bits ideal for continuous cutting and hard materials. Ideal for cutting tough and hardened materials including stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, bronze, and alloy steels. Retains cutting edges up to 1000 degrees F to 1200 degrees F, allowing for higher cutting speeds and improved productivity. Cobalt enhances the overall hardness of the high speed steel (Rockwell Hardness up to 65-66HRC) which results in a longer tool life. Ground square tool bits provide consistent geometry, improved surface finish, and reliable cutting performance.
