31/32 X 7" Lathe Mandrel (3902-2062) Standard taper of .0005" per 1'. .0005" undersized on the smaller end. Made of tool steel hardened and ground. These mandrels are work holders that fit through a hole in the work to grasp it. Mandrels are forced into the work using an arbor press and are removed the same way. Two advantages to using mandrels is that they leave no grip marks on the work while maintaining concentricity and they provide tool access to the full length of the work. Shipping Weight: 1.4 lbs
